My name is Ben Weaver. I am a New York City based 3D / 2D motion designer, and the Owner of Divergent Visuals. I have more than 10 years of experience in the industry and have worked on a wide range of projects with various companies and studios. I have been freelancing the last few years for several companies, including The Mill, The Molecule, NBA, Rock Paper Scissors, Nomad Edit, Artjail (Hershey's, Bose, Icebreakers commercials), Transistor (NFL Experience in Times Square), and Courageous, a CNN Branded Content Studio. I have also freelanced for Protocol NY, where I produced 15 CG drone videos to be presented in Best Buy stores nationwide. As well as freelancing I also work as a Teaching Assistant for the School of Motion - Cinema 4D Basecamp. Prior to freelancing, I worked for ABC News as a motion designer for shows such as Good Morning America, 20/20, World News, The View, and NightLine. Also while working at ABC I worked two years with Hearst as a Motion Designer / Editor for brands such as Elle, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Seventeen, and Popular Mechanics. I also worked for six years as a Senior Motion Designer for the Ad agency The CementBloc. In this role, I specialized in high-end motion graphics, VFX, video editing, production and compositing of videos to be used in all media platforms. On a daily basis, I work with Cinema 4D, After Effects, Substance, Element 3d, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop and Houdini. I also work with C4D plugins such as Redshift, Octane and X Particles.
